The box is made of typical six plank and joined pegged construction, the box with a hinged lid and hand cut iron strap hinges. The front panel with a deeply carved arcade of interlaced semi circular arches or lunettes, internally carved with stylized flowers devices, to the center is a hand cut iron lock plate. The front two edges are decorated with chip
